• exotic (hardwood)
• teak (hardwood) – typically patio furniture and chairs
• cedar (softwood)
• iron wood (hardwood)

Depending on the wood used, different stains and pressure washing techniques are required for different decks.  Any hardwood including mahogany and teak require specially formulated oils that put a premium on water protection.  Other wood types can have a clear sealant applied.
